Last year P6/7 pupils successfully won £250 by taking part in the William Brown Conservation competition run by the Belfast Zoo, following their spirited efforts to promote wildlife and biodiversity in the eco garden.
They planted pollinators to attract new insects, made bird feeders to entice new species of birds, added new and fresh foliage to their bug hotel and planted various herbs in the sensory garden.
