Tools for Solidarity Visit P7
3rd Feb 2020
We have really enjoyed our sessions with Tools for Solidarity. They have been teaching us all about relative and extreme poverty. For our last session we learnt about extreme poverty that is happening around the world.
We pretended to be workers who made bags from recycled paper and then we sold them to an imaginary shop keeper for a small amount of money, our hands were really sore and we didn’t get paid very much money for all our hard work. In fact we didn’t even have enough money to meet our basic needs of water, food, warmth and shelter. It was really unfair and we realised we are lucky to live in Belfast!
