Using ICT
At Knocknagoney Primary we believe that ICT is vital to the learning of our pupils. We strive to incorporate ICT into classroom teaching effectively and aim to develop the children’s skills in using both the computer and the iPad. Staff have been trained in using a variety of iPad apps to enable maximum learning potential of children. We also have a wide range of iPads and resources in both our classrooms and the school’s ICT suite.
At Knocknagoney PS we are extremely fortunate to be able to provide our pupils with a wide range of coding technologies. Currently in school pupils are working the Sphero, Dash & Dot Robots, Beebots and Drones. The pupils can code these devices and explain how to make them move in a certain way.
The school is equipped with a purpose-built ICT suite and each pupil uses the desktop and laptop computers during their timetabled sessions each week.
