Art

At Knocknagoney P.S we believe children need opportunities of Art and Design to explore and express their thoughts, feelings and ideas and to develop their confidence in using media and techniques. They develop skills in the following areas:

• Painting

• Drawing

• Textiles

• Printmaking

• Malleable Materials

• 3D Construction

• ICT in Art and Design

Drama

Our school activity engages in Drama activities.  Our Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 pupils take part in an annual Christmas production and Key Stage 2 take part in our school show around Easter.

Music

Music is incorporated into our curriculum and is taught to all classes.  Pupils also have opportunities to learn to play instruments during lessons including the recorder and drums.  We are also delighted to offer music tuition for children during school, provided by specialist music tutors.

Our school has a talented choir composed of children from our Key Stage 2 classes.  The choir particularly enjoys singing for the residents in local nursing and residential homes in the surrounding area at Christmas.
